Role Description

The Director of Information Technology is a senior leader responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of Visual Edge IT’s enterprise systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity posture.

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT systems and processes.
• Oversee corporate infrastructure including networks, servers, security systems, ERP platforms, and core business applications.
• Develop and execute business continuity and disaster recovery strategies to ensure operational resilience.
• Strengthen enterprise cybersecurity posture, including network security, data protection, risk assessments, and incident response.
• Coordinate IT audits, compliance initiatives, and security investigations.
• Evaluate system performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization, scalability, and efficiency improvements.
• Manage external technology vendors, service providers, and consultants.
• Oversee multi-site technology operations across a growing national footprint.
• Lead enterprise IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timely delivery.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing, service-oriented IT team.
• Strengthen cybersecurity posture and reduce organizational risk exposure.
• Establish business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Optimize systems performance and cost efficiency across the VEIT technology stack.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT operations experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role (15+ years and 10+ years leadership preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
• Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration preferred.
• Strong expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT service management.
• Experience managing complex enterprise environments including networks, servers, ERP systems, and business applications.
• Proficiency overseeing Microsoft 365 and enterprise software platforms.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of building high-performing teams and owning outcomes.
