We are looking for an Accounting Team Manager - Payroll Department Manager to join our family-owned business. This role involves:
- Managing small business accounting operations across multiple industries
- Overseeing a multi-client payroll team
- Developing processes and making decisions
- Providing leadership and mentoring to team members
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in small business accounting operations
- Understanding and application of general accounting principles
- Experience in not-for-profit, compliance, real estate, startups, technology companies (SaaS), and franchises
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related disciplines
- CPA candidate is a plus
Requirements
- Excellent writing skills
- Complex problem-solving abilities
- Strong client service orientation
- Experience with software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, Sage/Intacct, ADP, Paychex, Gusto, and Google Workspace
