Job Description
About the Role
A1 is building a proactive AI system that carries work forward across conversations, tools, and time.
You will shape how users experience AI from the ground up. This is an early, high-ownership role where your design decisions will directly influence core user flows, interaction models, and product direction.
You will design systems and journeys – how users discover value, interact with intelligence, and build trust in an AI-driven product.
What You'll be Doing
Lead end-to-end design for one or more AI product surfaces, from early concept to production.
Design core user flows that make advanced AI capabilities feel simple, natural, and usable.
Work closely with product, engineering, and ML teams to explore problems, test ideas, and ship quickly.
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile.
Rapidly prototype and iterate on new interaction models, especially for AI-driven experiences.
Conduct usability testing and synthesize insights to refine product direction.
Help define and evolve A1’s design system to support speed, consistency, and scalability.
Advocate for user experience while balancing product velocity and technical constraints.
What You Will Need
Proven experience as a product or UX designer, with a portfolio spanning web and mobile products.
Strong proficiency in Figma and rapid prototyping tools.
Solid understanding of interaction design, layout, hierarchy, and visual systems.
Experience working closely with engineers and product partners in fast-moving environments.
Comfort designing from incomplete inputs and evolving requirements.
Ability to simplify complex workflows into clear, intuitive user experiences.
Willingness to take ownership from problem definition through shipped solution.
Nice to have
Experience designing AI-powered or data-heavy products.
Familiarity with usability testing and qualitative research methods.
Experience working on zero-to-one products or early-stage teams.
Interest in emerging UX patterns for AI, automation, or intelligent systems.
How We Work
Our organization is very flat and our team is small, highly motivated, and focused on engineering and product excellence. All members are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission.
Interview process
If there appears to be a fit, we'll reach to schedule 3, but no more than 4 interviews.
Applications are evaluated by our technical team members. Interviews will be conducted via virtual meetings and/or onsite.
We value transparency and efficiency, so expect a prompt decision. If you've demonstrated the exceptional skills and mindset we're looking for, we'll extend an offer to join us. This isn't just a job offer; it's an invitation to be part of a team that's bringing AI to have practical benefits to billions globally.
