Role Description

This is a hands-on HR Generalist role with a strong operational focus. The role supports day-to-day HR processes, systems, and employee lifecycle activities while building knowledge of the business to grow into broader HR support over time.

This role is 100% remote-based and standard business hours Monday - Friday.

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and off boarding processes to ensure smooth employee transition.
  • Coordinate with IT and HRIS to ensure a timely system set up, access, and data accuracy for all hires and separations.
  • Run certain timecard or pay-related reports and reconcile discrepancies, address inquiries, and prepare any other necessary reports as needed; ensure timely management of timecard approvals, and employee check previews.
  • Serve as first line contact for employees and managers on routine HR questions for the business about payroll, benefits, leaves, etc.
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking of FMLA, ADA, state, and other leaves; coordinate documentation and follow up with employee and applicable third parties.
  • Maintain compliance by preparing documentation reports for audits, client questionnaires, and RFPs.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting by entering and processing employee changes in the HRIS, audit information regularly and run recurring or ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Help HRBP manage employee relations issues, investigations, counseling and corrective actions.
  • Oversee hiring requisition workflow; verify approvals and compensation align with company standards.
  • Assist in the performance management process by helping coordinate timelines and ensure people leaders remain informed of expectations and required actions.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives by partnering with HRBP and business leaders on team-building activities, recognition efforts, and other programs that promote positive employee experience.
  • Post and monitor mandatory annual training and compliance requirements and ensure timely completion.
  • Perform all duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in human resources and/or a relevant field preferred; High School Diploma required
  • Three years experience in HR coordination, HR operations, or related HR role required
  • Proficiency with MS Office (focus on Excel and Outlook) and experience using HRIS and payroll systems (Paycom preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills; able to build positive relationships at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time while ensuring timeliness and compliance
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to maintaining data confidentiality
  • Knowledge of basic HR practices, payroll processes, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving skills, and ability to remain effective under pressure.
  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures in effect at time of hire and as they may change or be added from time to time
