Job Description
Role Description
Ballard Spahr is looking for a Project Manager responsible for scoping, planning, and executing projects within Ballard Spahr’s Project Management Office (PMO). This individual will exercise discretion, build relationships, and develop plans while leading diverse project teams to achieve successful delivery.
- Build project charters, scoping custom and packaged vendor solutions (RFPs)
- Develop all aspects of a project plan
- Manage project invoices and financials
- Manage resource commitments
- Formally close projects
- Understand each project's benefit, solution, technology, and activities
- Participate and contribute to the evolution of the PMO, including project intake, portfolio management, governance and communication, budgeting, financial management, and resource management with peer groups
This position is remote, with consideration given to those near the Philadelphia office or surrounding areas, with the expectation to work in the office as needed.
Qualifications
- Four plus years of project management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in additional years of experience
- Background in IT Engineering and working knowledge of networking infrastructure preferred
- Expertise in waterfall and understanding of concepts of agile
- Experience with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and delivery of vendor solutions
- Experience with custom-built solutions, technologies, and integrations
- Demonstrated skills in various software applications
- Previous experience working in a law firm or legal environment is preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, other certifications such as a Certified Scrum Master (SCM) and a Master’s Degree are preferred

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
- Ability to lead, drive, and support projects for successful business outcomes

Salary
The salary range for this position is from $120,000 – $130,000, which reflects the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
