As Senior Director, Technical Product Management at Alignment Healthcare, you'll lead a major product portfolio that spans multiple interconnected business domains or a major domain critical to our Medicare Advantage operations. This is a senior product leadership role for someone who has successfully scaled product teams and platforms through hypergrowth and can operate as both strategist and operator.You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for an entire business pillar (e.g., all clinical operations, complete member experience platform, utilization management, or enterprise Stars/Risk Adjustment suite). You'll directly own and over time, build a team of product professionals while maintaining close operational involvement in alignment with business and engineering teams, solutions strategy, roadmaps, and critical product decisions.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Own Product Strategy & P&L for an Entire Business Domain — Define product vision, multi-year roadmaps, and investment planning for a major business domain (examples include Clinical Platform, Member Experience, Stars & Quality, or Claims Operations), partnering with senior stakeholders to translate business strategy into product strategy.
- Scale Team to Support Business— Build and mentor a world-class product organization developing them into an exceptional team. Drive talent density through A-player recruiting, performance elevation, and succession planning for future leaders.
- Establish Product Operating Model & Organizational Capabilities — Build scalable frameworks, processes, career paths, and governance that enable growth from startup to enterprise scale. Foster a culture of customer obsession, data-driven decisions, and execution excellence.
- Drive Execution Excellence Across Complex Products — Ensure delivery of compliant, high-quality products that drive measurable business outcomes (Stars ratings, risk adjustment revenue, member NPS, cost reduction). Champion AI-enabled automation that delivers 10X improvements while balancing scalability with speed-to-market.
- Serve as Product Leader & Voice to Senior Stakeholders — Represent product perspective in senior stakeholder meetings, influencing strategy through market insights and delivery results. Engage with members, providers, and industry experts while serving as external thought leader.
- Lead Through Hypergrowth & Organizational Transformation — Navigate rapid scaling by building systems that enable sustainable growth. Balance short-term execution with long-term platform investments while maintaining startup agility.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
- 7+ years in product management and product leadership, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles (Director+ level)
- 5+ years in healthcare (health plans, payer systems, care delivery, or health tech)
- 5+ years managing teams; proven track record building and scaling high-performing product organizations
- Experience scaling products through hypergrowth
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale product portfolios with measurable impact
• Preferred:
- Deep Medicare Advantage expertise (Stars, clinical, risk adjustment, CMS compliance, value-based care models) strongly preferred
- Experience designing or scaling AI/ML platforms in clinical or consumer healthcare applications
- Shape organization-wide product practices, including product portfolio governance, and product operations models
- Strong process improvement and operational excellence background (Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping)
- Experience with large-scale enterprise platform transformation or modernization initiatives
- Prior leadership at a fast-growing Medicare Advantage plan or health tech company that achieved significant scale
- Experience presenting to boards of directors or external stakeholders
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 4 years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree

- Experience identifying high-value AI/ML use cases and implementing AI-enabled products that deliver measurable business outcomes in clinical workflows, member engagement, or operational automation.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex product strategies into clear executive narratives, influence C-suite decision-making, and build credibility through delivery results and strategic thought leadership.
- Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional senior product team members, with ability to grow leaders who can independently run major business domains.

Pay Range: $198,219.00 - $297,329.00Pay range may be based on a number of factors including market location, education, responsibilities, experience, etc.
