Who We Are:

Simard Automotive is Alaska's premier independent automotive repair group, growing rapidly with a clear vision to expand our team of elite A-Level Technicians, Service Advisors, and Managers. We are not your typical auto shop – we are a people-first company, dedicated to servant leadership, team development, and operational excellence.

We believe that the right people make all the difference, and we are looking for a skilled recruiter to help us attract, assess, and hire top talent from Alaska and across the U.S.

What We're Looking For:

We need a part-time, remote recruiter who understands the automotive industry and is an expert in Topgrading recruitment. Someone who thrives in candidate sourcing, structured interviews, and building hiring processes that ensure long-term success.

This is NOT a recruiting agency position – we want an independent recruiter who will work closely with our internal leadership team to refine and enhance our hiring process over time.

2. Enhance Our Hiring Process & Improve Success Rates

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine scorecards, job descriptions, and interview methods.
  • Optimize interview-to-hire ratios by improving assessment techniques.

3. Sell the Simard Way & Attract Top Talent

  • Learn and articulate our company vision, values, and mission to candidates.
  • Develop compelling outreach strategies to entice the best candidates in the industry.
  • Help candidates understand the benefits of relocating to Alaska.

4. Specialize in Hard-to-Fill Roles

  • Focus on hiring A-Level Technicians, Service Advisors, and Managers.
  • Develop customized recruitment strategies for high-demand roles.

5. Work Independently & Manage Recruiting Efforts

  • Self-manage sourcing, interviews, and hiring pipeline reporting.
  • Track hiring metrics and provide reports to leadership.

What You Bring (Must-Have Skills & Experience):

  • Topgrading Expertise – Certified or highly experienced in structured interview methods.
  • Automotive Recruiting Experience – Strong background in hiring for automotive roles.
  • Process Improvement Mindset – Ability to refine hiring scorecards, KPIs, and interview processes.
  • Applicant Pro or ATS Experience – Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong Communication & Sales Skills – Ability to persuade and engage top talent.
  • Relocation Expertise – Experience moving candidates across states or enticing relocation.
  • Self-Starter & Problem-Solver – Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible, remote work (10-20 hours per week) – Set your schedule!
  • Opportunity to work with an established and growing company.
  • A team that values hiring excellence and people development.
  • The chance to make a real impact by building a high-performing team.

Who This Role is NOT For:

  • Recruiting agencies – We want an individual who will be part of OUR team.
  • Generalist recruiters – This role requires deep automotive industry knowledge.
  • Passive recruiters – We need someone who actively engages with candidates and refines processes.
