Role Description
In this role you will be a key driver of change within the Kohl's organization. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive AI strategy that will transform our business, from merchandising and marketing to supply chain and customer service. Through strategic leadership and deep AI expertise, you will enable Kohl’s to harness Artificial Intelligence as a competitive advantage and shape the future of retail.
- Develop and champion a clear vision and strategy for how AI will be leveraged across the Kohl's organization to drive business value and competitive advantage.
- Lead the charge in transforming Kohl's into an AI-driven organization, fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
- Create and maintain "heat-maps" that identify functional areas and specific processes where AI can deliver significant benefits and efficiencies.
- Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and develop a portfolio of high-impact AI use cases that align with strategic objectives.
- Drive the implementation of AI solutions, from pilot projects to full-scale deployment, overseeing project management and operational change.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and a robust tracking system to monitor the progress, adoption, and impact of AI initiatives.
- Work closely with leaders in Technology, Data & Analytics, and various business units to ensure coordinated and aligned AI efforts.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with external partners, including technology vendors, startups, and academic institutions, to stay at the forefront of AI innovation.
- Additional tasks may be assigned.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in technology, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership role focused on data science, analytics, or artificial intelligence.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science.
- Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives in a complex organization.
- Deep understanding of AI, machine learning, and related technologies, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Ability to think strategically and develop a long-term vision, while also being able to execute and deliver tangible results.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and address the needs of various business functions. Retail industry experience is a significant plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization, from the C-suite to individual contributors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
