Role Description
The role of Executive Director, Creative is an integral part of DEPT® leadership and provides oversight of all areas of the DEPT®’s creative work for an industry-leading AI client to ensure that large-scale creative solutions are developed and meet and even exceed the client's needs.
- Master of the creative and design process, including a strong understanding of performance media.
- Responsible for short and long-term planning, setting goals, and developing the company’s creative vision.
- Ensure the organization’s talent is in place and performing at a high level.
- Lead the company's creative and design teams in developing digital experiences, e-commerce, and content.
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement the overall strategy for the organization.
- Adapt communication style based on personality types of team members and clients.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in formulating the company’s future direction for an industry-leading AI client.
- Directly supervise the Creative team and ensure high performance.
- Hire, retain, and develop the best creative talent.
- Oversee and lead digital experiences and solutions from conception through implementation.
- Partner with cross-functional client teams to define project strategy.
- Help develop creative ideas that extend across all digital platforms.
- Ensure services and products exceed clients’ expectations.
- Contribute to new business efforts, including networking and agency representation.
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Provide leadership to the team, prioritizing client and team needs.
- Bring fresh perspectives to the team.
- Navigate ambiguous situations and solve problems proactively.
- Ensure projects meet deadlines and budget specifications.
- Identify decision makers within the client's organization and maintain relationships.
- Support and grow in the role by proposing ideas to improve operations.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and technology.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of proven track record of leadership in multi-million dollar digital marketing organizations.
- Excellent leadership, strategic vision, and creative inspiration skills.
- Strong knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, and brand development.
- Strong understanding of performance media and the iterative creative process.
- Passion for typography, interaction, traditional graphic design, and technology.
- Strong skills in modern design and prototyping tools.
- A solid point-of-view and a collaborative nature.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to set goals and priorities in a changing environment.
- Excellent public speaking skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
- Rigorous analytical skills with the ability to summarize information efficiently.
- Ability to travel regularly for domestic and international business initiatives.
