Role Description
This role involves participating in an 11-week summer internship experience with an emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world immersion into our business.
- Collaborate with our data science team and business leads to pursue research in areas of high business impact.
- Drive CSAA’s knowledge of our customers through research projects from data collection to model development.
- Provide recommendations based on well-documented, reproducible analysis from large datasets.
- Work on a capstone project throughout the summer related to data analysis within the insurance industry and present findings to senior management.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate/graduate student pursuing a quantitative or analytically focused degree, ideally graduating December 2026 or later.
- Interested in beginning a career with a focus on data or statistical analysis.
- Familiar with manipulating raw data with Python or R.
- Creative problem solver with a strong interest in machine learning.
- High-energy, high-impact individual who can provide statistical insights with data.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented professional with strong written or verbal communication skills.
- Able to influence and effectively manage multiple projects while communicating effectively in front of others.
- Enthusiastic to learn new concepts and committed to self-development.
- Has a keen analytical mind with a sharp eye for details.
- Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US.
Requirements
- The anticipated dates of our 2026 summer internship will be May 26-August 7.
- This role is remote.
- The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $33.00-36.00.
