Role Description

This role involves participating in an 11-week summer internship experience with an emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world immersion into our business.

• Collaborate with our data science team and business leads to pursue research in areas of high business impact.
• Drive CSAA’s knowledge of our customers through research projects from data collection to model development.
• Provide recommendations based on well-documented, reproducible analysis from large datasets.
• Work on a capstone project throughout the summer related to data analysis within the insurance industry and present findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate/graduate student pursuing a quantitative or analytically focused degree, ideally graduating December 2026 or later.
• Interested in beginning a career with a focus on data or statistical analysis.
• Familiar with manipulating raw data with Python or R.
• Creative problem solver with a strong interest in machine learning.
• High-energy, high-impact individual who can provide statistical insights with data.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented professional with strong written or verbal communication skills.
• Able to influence and effectively manage multiple projects while communicating effectively in front of others.
• Enthusiastic to learn new concepts and committed to self-development.
• Has a keen analytical mind with a sharp eye for details.
• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US.

Requirements

• The anticipated dates of our 2026 summer internship will be May 26-August 7.
• This role is remote.
• The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $33.00-36.00.
