The system administrator will be responsible for providing overall technical administration and technical support for the SAP environment including overseeing the development and organization of databases and application components, assessment and implementation of new technologies. Ensure the SAP applications that support our technology systems are designed to be highly available and efficiently perform. This position serves as the senior-level SAP Basis administrator and technical lead, establishing standards, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring that SAP environments are secure, scalable, highly available, and optimized for performance.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve SAP Basis standards, operational procedures, and technical governance frameworks; develop new methodologies to enhance system reliability, performance, security, documentation and efficiency.
Manage SAP system architecture, configuration, upgrades, redesign, documentation and licensing.
Acts as a liaison between IT Operations and Product Development teams to provide analytical support and consultation on complex projects
Maintain current knowledge of SAP technologies, cloud platforms, and industry best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
SAP system administration experience across Unix/Linux and Windows platforms, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL database environments.
Hands-on experience with daily SAP operations, including transport management, log analysis, lock and batch management, printer setup, RFC/gateway configuration, and system profile maintenance.
Experience managing SAP security and infrastructure components, including certificate management across SAP systems and integrated bolt-on applications.
Proficiency working with enterprise support and ITSM tools, including service desk, ticketing, and change management systems.
Working knowledge of SAP cloud technologies, including SAP Cloud architecture concepts, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud Connector, and SAP SaaS/BTP-based solutions.
Working knowledge of modern SAP lifecycle management landscapes, including SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and SAP RISE environments.

What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, a related degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of relevant work experience.
Capable of understanding client needs and translating this into products and services.
Ability to technically decompose and organize complex work. Lead small teams to successful completion.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to independently evaluate projects and technical requests, architect solutions, and collaborate effectively with SAP and third-party vendors.
Self-motivated with demonstrated effectiveness in remote or hybrid work environments.
Occasional travel

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $129000- $162000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
