Job Description
Position Summary:
The Travel Liaison II, Vendor Relations, is responsible for independently coordinating faculty and Academic Operations collaborator travel in partnership with the organization’s travel vendor. This role requires a higher level of expertise in troubleshooting travel challenges, coordinating travel for multiple stakeholders, and supporting new or expanding territories with thorough assessments. The Travel Liaison II ensures that travel aligns with organizational placement needs and policies while providing timely and professional communication to all stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with faculty and the travel vendor to arrange complex travel accommodations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Conduct territory opening assessments to evaluate accommodations and recommend solutions for new or expanding territories.
- Create and update cross-functional dashboards to provide accurate and timely information on travel accommodations for after-hours staff.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure all placement travel is aligned with faculty schedules and experiential learning requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve travel-related issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Escalate concerns that deviate from standard practices to appropriate leadership.
- Attend and actively contribute to meetings and professional development activities.
- Support the implementation of functional projects and process improvements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- A minimum of a two-year degree or certification from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience, isrequired.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in travel coordination, vendor management, or a related role is preferred.
- Proventrack recordof handling escalated issues and providing solutions in a timely and professional manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and CRM systems is strongly preferred.
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will cover travel, lodging, and other accommodations.
