Job Description
Overview
The Inside Sales Representative performs duties to increase profitable dollar sales by effectively building buying relationships with customers/prospects, aggressively soliciting new business, and discovering new opportunities to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of our operations from new client implementation, customer service, graphics, procurement, daily production, key metrics, accounting, billing, IT development, and support.
- Under general supervision, solicit business from customers/prospects by calling/cold calling regularly to maintain and develop strong buying relationships with key decision makers.
- The associate must remain flexible and proactive in dealing with changing priorities.
- The associate will gather data, analyze programs, problems, and products, and utilize consultative selling and negotiation skills in building value-added relationships both internally and externally.
- The associate will remain knowledgeable about our programs, products, market conditions, and competitors and keep management informed of trends and customer expectations to assist in new product/program development.
- Make effective presentations and host new product/service webinars. Limited travel may be required to attend and participate in trade shows.
- Performance is measured by increased dollar sales, current and accurate customer information, ability to develop contacts and relationships, and the further enhancement of CPI’s image and market position.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to maximize sales growth and profitability.
- Utilize a consultative selling approach to build and maintain relationships at all levels within our customer/prospect base.
- Prospecting, qualifying, and generating sales within our target market
- Well-rounded communications skills. Excellent written, listening, and verbal skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Systematically gather data from the marketplace regarding competitive strategies and customer needs and communicate/translate information into new product/market opportunities. Maintain the accuracy of our CRM.
- Team player working with all personnel and resources in maintaining and growing a customer-focused organization.
- Strong time management skills
- Self-starter
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in sales, along with retail banking or card-related industry experience, preferred
- Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary
Physical Demands:
- Work is conducted primarily in a seated position with extensive use of office equipment and requires walking, bending, reaching, and stooping on an occasional basis. Frequently required to work at a desk on a computer. Work involves dealing with detail, accuracy, and extensive human interaction.
This role requires the ability to work from home in a virtual environment, where the following is required;
- reliable high-speed Internet access (hot-spot not acceptable)
- dedicated distraction-free home work environment
