Role Description

This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the organization's accounts receivable.

• Ensure accurate and timely collection of payments from consumers, insurance companies, and other payers.
• Resolve billing issues and reconcile accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions to ensure financial health and compliance with industry standards.
• Review and process insurance claims, verifying patient information and coding for accuracy.
• Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies or issues.
• Perform account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and applying appropriate payments or adjustments.
• Maintain patient account balances and assist with follow-up on unpaid claims.
• Issue statements as needed and ensure adherence to healthcare billing regulations and policies.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., billing, coding, and customer service) to streamline AR processes.
• Address and resolve any patient or insurance inquiries related to billing and payment issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 1 year of healthcare experience (required)
• Prior Accounts Receivable experience (preferred)
