Role Description
We are seeking an Advisor Application Designer to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of secure, scalable, and compliant Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) solutions. In this strategic role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and cutting-edge technology, ensuring our Medicaid systems meet the highest standards for performance, security, and regulatory compliance.
As a key leader in our digital transformation, you will modernize critical healthcare infrastructure using AWS, aligning technology with Medicaid goals and CMS MITA guidelines to deliver sustainable, interoperable solutions.
- Modernize Medicaid Systems: Lead the design of MMIS solutions, leveraging enterprise architecture best practices and modular strategies.
- Cloud Strategy & Execution: Architect and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK) to ensure scalability and cost efficiency.
- Security & Compliance Leadership: Implementation of HIPAA and MARS-E standards while managing robust incident response capabilities with CloudTrail and SIEM.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Automate deployments via CI/CD pipelines and analyze system data to optimize resource utilization and system performance.
- Foster Innovation: Lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff to build a culture of excellence and high-performance quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Health Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years in Solution/Enterprise Architecture with direct Medicaid/MMIS experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on enterprise AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway).
- Strong understanding of quality management (ISO 9000) and federal healthcare standards (HIPAA, MARS-E, CMS MITA).
- Proficiency in DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git) and collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).
