Role Description
The Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting, will participate in a wide variety of tasks including month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, including analyzing and preparing Journal entries, reconciliations and other workpapers and analyses. He/she will also assist in the documentation and compliance of procedures and controls.
This position reports to the Manager, Revenue Accounting.
- Record journal entries and transactions according to Company procedures and ASC 606 under the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Assist with revenue month-end close and prepare supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule.
- Assist in assessing revenue accounting treatments for one-off cases as they arise.
- Assist the Manager with the analysis and calculation of non-recurring journal entries as applicable to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Manage quarterly Service Level Agreement process, including communication with the Operations team as well as preparing and recording relevant journal entries and back-end reporting and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations as assigned and work to resolve any discrepancies and analyze variances.
- Analyze applicable balance sheet and revenue general ledger accounts as assigned as part of the month-end journal entry processes.
- Ensure strengthening internal controls by maintaining current SOPs.
- Assist with preparing supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule.
- Assist with preparing data for external and internal audit requests as needed.
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- 4-5 years minimum accounting experience; Revenue experience a plus.
- Basic understanding of US GAAP; Familiarity with ASC 606 a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP Accounting Software; NetSuite experience a plus.
- Must be highly analytical, well-organized, and possess a strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal with personnel at all levels, exercise discretion on confidential matters, and work independently.
- Ability to work well in an individual and team environment.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.

- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
