Role Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead AI Engineer with expert-level proficiency in Python and machine learning to guide our AI initiatives and mentor a talented engineering team. As a technical leader, you will architect and oversee the development of innovative AI solutions, ensuring best practices and high standards across all projects.
- Architect, design, and lead the development of advanced machine learning models and AI systems using Python.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of AI/ML engineers and data scientists.
- Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles: from data collection and preprocessing, through model development, to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to define AI strategy and translate business objectives into technical solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices for coding, model validation, versioning, and reproducibility.
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in AI/ML, and drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
- Present technical concepts and project progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or lead role.
- Expert-level Python programming skills and deep familiarity with ML libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, LangChain, PyTorch, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying production-grade machine learning systems.
- Strong understanding of data engineering, feature engineering, and big data tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and MLOps practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with NLP, computer vision, or generative AI models.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for ML projects.
- Knowledge of Agentic frameworks, and some experience building agents from scratch for enterprise use cases.
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or published research.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $133,100.00 - $199,700.00/yr. We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification. Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs like annual bonuses, profit sharing, etc.
